| Brent Cooper has been named as the interim president of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. Steve Stevens, NKY Chamber President, announced that he was resigning as of February 7, 2014 after 20 years of service. As you are aware, Brent served as Chair of the Chamber Board from 2011-2012 and has remained an advocate for the Chamber’s mission. The Chamber’s Executive Committee approved Brent’s appointment until a new president is selected.Debbie Simpson, current Chair of the Chamber and president of Multi-Craft in Newport, shares, “Brent is an obvious choice. He knows and loves the organization and has good relations with the members, staff, legislators, local government officials, community leaders and the media. Brent is the right person to lead us through this very important transition and process.”
From Brent, “I want to let you, our customers and vendors know that, during this interim period, it will be business as usual at C-Forward. While I won’t be in the office every day, I will continue to attend the weekly management and staff meetings, and will be available as needed. Our management team, led by Vice President, Scott Johnson, will ensure that we continue to provide the same excellent service our customers have come to experience. Many of you are members of the NKY Chamber. The Chamber is about bringing businesses together to collectively advocate and grow and I’m sure you can appreciate the importance of keeping this continuity so I’m glad to be in a position to serve during this time of transition. It will truly be my pleasure to give back to an organization that has given so much to our business and community.”
There will be an Open House for Steve at the Chamber building in Fort Mitchell from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on February 6 if you would like to attend.
