Community Service

Community Service is a key part of C-Forward’s culture. Employees are encouraged to donate to community service projects they feel are the most beneficial. To help stimulate that process, various non-profits are invited throughout the year to attend staff meetings where they can present their value to the community. Also, employees receive an hour of vacation time for every two hours of community service work they do on their own time, and they are also given time off work to help contribute when needed. C-Forward employees sit on the Board of Directors for the following organizations: Gateway Community and Technical College, Tri-ED, Welcome House, NKY Education Council, Covington Partners, and the NKY Chamber of Commerce. In addition to serving on the Fort Thomas Planning Commission, C-Forward’s President and Owner, Brent Cooper, is also the current Chair of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
C-Forward participates in the NKY Chamber’s B.E.S.T. (Business Education Success Teams) program, working with James E. Biggs Early Childhood Education Center in Covington. Last year C-Forward employees held a clothing drive, donated books and coats, and adopted 10 students and purchased Christmas gifts for them. C-Forward also supports many of its non-profit clients, on both sides of the river, with donations and sponsorships. We support Welcome House of Northern Kentucky in Covington, Tender Mercies in Cincinnati, Cincinnati Association for the Blind, Children’s Home of NKY and Transitions, just to name a few. Over the last 3 years alone, C-Forward donated over $142,000 to various charities or non profit agencies in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area. Examples include, sponsorship of the Mardi Gras for Homeless Children, Tender Mercies’ Celebritrees, Excellence in Education Dinner, and various golf outings.
In service to our industry, C-Forward supports organizations and groups that are working hard to educate and prepare the next generation of information technology workers. C-Forward has worked closely with Gateway Community College, Thomas More College, Northern Kentucky University, and Vision 2015, making annual pledge payments and/or supporting events and programs. C-Forward annually sits on committees at NKU and Gateway to provide feedback on information technology program direction and effectiveness.
